Review

This scent feels like a tropical paradise on the skin. It’s like you’re standing in some tropical oasis, surrounded by intoxicating flowers and fruits, and the enticing warmth that is felt in the air. The sweetness comes from Lactonic Notes and Vanilla blending with the creamy floral nuances of Monoi(Tahitian Gardenia), Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, and Orang Blossom. While this is an Oud scent, it is not too woody. The Oud cuts through the sweetness, adding depth and a hint of exoticism, and a faint hint of the sharp Oudy essence you might be expecting when you see the name of this scent. The intensity of the Monoi and Jasmine makes it lean ever-so-slightly feminine, but this is something anyone can wear who loves a good floral scent. The longevity is incredible and the projection is perfect. It can be worn just about any time, place, or occasion, and in any weather….though it might be a smidge too much for intense heat. It has been compared to Borabora by Giardini di Toscana.

Inspiration

Oud Jaune Intense is inspired by the beauty of the naturally creamy flowers found in tropical regions. It encompasses the feeling of Paradise we feel while on vacation in faraway places.

Notes

Upon first spray of this fragrance, you get the Gardenia vibes from the Monoi. As things begin to settle in, the sweetness becomes evident. Pineapple and Water Fruits lie under the surface of the creamy essence of Ylang Ylang, which is boosted by a note of Salicylate, which is a synthetic compound that adds a soft, creamy, slightly warm Balsamic nuance to the scent it is in. This adds both to the creaminess of the scent, as well as the tropical essence. The floral tones begin blooming more brightly with Jasmine, Orange Blossom, and White Flowers. The base unfolds with Lactonic Notes and Vanilla, keeping the sweet and creamy vibes thriving. Oud comes in at the end, flanked by Musk, adding depth, warmth, intensity, and longevity, all without taking away from everything that comes before it.
