Frangipani is a warm, citrus, floral scent created for Men and Women in 2003 by perfumer Geza Schoen. It was re-released in 2024 as a Parfum.

Review

This scent has a slightly tropical vibe to it. It’s not your traditional Frangipani scent, but something more warm with a brightness. Linden Blossom and Lime create a bright opening, which is pretty quickly taken over by a lush combination of Frangipani, Tuberose, and Magnolia. A Plum note, which sits in the heart of this scent, feels like its juices are bursting right off your skin, blending beautifully with the Lime and the flowers. This powerful floral combination is warmed with Musk and Cedar, creating a slightly earthy vibe. After a while, the Linden Blossom and Lime come back into play, turning this scent zesty within the warmth. It is reminiscent of flowers releasing their intoxicating scent, and making you feel drunk if you breathe in too much. It has a subtle elegance that makes it wearable in professional settings, but it is much better suited for casual moments. It can be worn from everything to running errands to a casual date. It can be worn in any season, but its vacation essence makes it perfect for Spring and Summer. Though you think a flora scent might be light, this scent will last. It has been compared to Versace Bright Crystal and Louis Vuitton Apogee.

Inspiration

Frangipani is inspired by the beautiful Frangipani Trees that grow by the sea in Mombasa, and Summer memories of eating Plums and swimming in the blue waves.

Notes

Linden Blossom and Lime open this scent with a freshness. Soon after, a rich floral combination of Frangipani, Magnolia, and Tuberose, add a depth that is similar to smelling flowers in a hot, dry place. Musk and Cedar add a subtle warmth and depth, just as hints of Linden Blossom and Lime come back around. Faint touches of Amber and Vanilla round out the base, keeping things warm and sultry.
