Lovers is a sweet, fruity, earthy scent created for Men and Women in 2023 by perfumer Shadi Samra.

Review

This scent starts off bright and sweet with the juicy essence of Passion Fruit. The Rose and Saffron add a gentle, spicy, depth, which for a moment makes you feel as though the scent will take a dive into the woody territory you might be expecting, but the sweetness comes back into play and intensifies. It’s exciting, then a little intense, and then playful and warm. The scent dances the line between earthy and sweet as the fruits clash with the warmth of the base. The Cedarwood, Vetiver, and Patchouli add a light earthiness that allows the sweetness to thrive and linger. It is a great any time, any place kind of scent that feels best for the Spring and Summer months, and has fantastic longevity and projection. It has been compared to, and has a very similar vibe to, Xerjoff’s Erba Pura, but with much more depth and earthiness.

Lovers takes inspiration from the excitement and passion of everything that comes from taking on a new lover. The bliss and seduction, and fun from these romantic interludes brings a new glow to everyday life.

Notes

Upon first spray of this scent, it is bright and sweet with Plum hiding just behind the intensity of the Passion Fruit. Fresh Bergamot, and the sparkly quality of the Ginger help the fruits to pop in an appealing way. For just a moment, the combination of Rose and Saffron brings a gentle spiciness and depth, making you think everything will take a deep dive into the woodiness of the base….but this is fleeting. Fairly quickly, the sweetness comes back, slightly intensifying above the Jasmine and the creaminess and warmth of the Sandalwood. The sweetness, almost specifically from the Passion Fruit, thrives as Vetiver, Cedarwood, and Patchouli bring a subtle earthiness that adds depth. Cashmere Wood adds more of a velvety essence that a Woodiness, and helps everything to last.
