Dark Orchid is a citrus, floral, woody scent created for Men and Women in 2016 by perfumer Cecile Hua.

Review

This scent is warm and sensual. It is a scent made for anyone and everyone, but leans slightly more feminine. The Citrus opening is quickly overtaken by lush, dark florals that quickly twist in the woody base. You immediately feel seductive and secretive. This scent can be worn in an office setting if applied very lightly, but is much better suited for intimate date nights or an evening when you want to catch the attention of someone special. It can work in all seasons, though may be too much for hot weather, and maintains great longevity. It has been compared to Tom Ford’s Black Orchid. 

Inspiration

Dark Orchid is dark and mysterious. It feels like a mystical forest, shimmering with dark flowers that carpet the path before you. You are hypnotized by a hidden figure in the shadows, and you are seduced into the unknown.

Notes

This scent begins with a burst of freshness from Mandarin, Bergamot, and a Citrus Accord. These notes are quickly enveloped by the sultry floral bouquet of Black Orchid, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, and Black Orchid. A touch of Lotus Wood segues elegantly into a warm, woody base of Patchouli and Sandalwood. Incense and Vanilla blend to create a layer of seduction that entwines itself within each layer of this intoxicating scent.
